Western Movies have always held a special place in the heart of a number of film buffs

These movies are some of the most remembered and liked amongst film buffs. Some of the best-known western movies are John Wayne’s “The Searchers” (1957), Clint Eastwood’s “Gran Torino” (1968), and Robert Altman’s “Million Dollar Baby (1954). These and many more have made westerns some of the most loved films in the world. There is no wonder then, that when the big screen comes to your area of living, you are sure to be hooked on this wonderful genre of motion pictures.

One thing that is often forgotten about westerns is the acting. The actors portraying the cowboys and Indians in these movies are some of the best that you will ever see. They bring a touch of raw emotion to the character, and they make western movies truly entertaining. There are so many great actors who have played the role of the cowboy and Indian in one of these wonderful movies that it is hard to name them all.

Another thing that is often overlooked with western movies is the music. Music plays a large part in western movies as well. Many western movies have been sung by well-known country and western artists as well. Often these songs were recorded before the movie was ever made, and the actors just picked them up when they had the opportunity. Some of the most popular songs from western movies are: “When the Saints go Marching in” by Waylon Jennings, “Dixie,” by Elvis Presley, and of course, “White Christmas” by E.T.C. Of course, there are many more, but these are some of my favorites.

If you love western movies and western music then you are certain to enjoy a good showing of the two together. There are many shows available on satellite TV that feature western movies as well as western music. So no matter if you are at home watching television, listening to music, or visiting with your friends, you are sure to have something to watch.

Of course, if you happen to live in a city then you have the local western park. These parks offer a great viewing experience as well as many attractions for visitors. Most cities also have museums dedicated to western stories. If you want to see some old western movies then checking out the local western film history museum may be a good way to go. The main attraction of many of these museums is the exhibits of old guns and equipment. While these are not actual western movies, they are still very interesting to check out.

So whether you enjoy western movies or western music, chances are you will enjoy both. There are many different types of movies to choose from. And whether you just want to sit and relax with a drink and a great movie, or you want to shoot a western trail with your rifle, there are plenty of options available. So take a long look around, because chances are you will be able to find a western rental at your local mall or video store!
